All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace

Adam Curtis is a legendary documentary filmmaker who’s style is very unique. Mixing stock footage taken from BBC archives and sampling that to a soundtrack of modern electronic greats such as Aphex Twin and Four Tet, Curtis manages to create a multi layered experience which to me is unmmatched in the world of documentary filmmaking. He narrates his films himself and with his somewhat hypnotic voice and the visuals put on screen you find yourself being immersed in film itself.

I’m a big fan of his most recent three part series ‘All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace’ which explored in great detail how the human race has become dependent on the technology we invented and also how it could ultimately lead to our downfall. I encourage everyone to watch all three parts as they are masterpieces of filmmaking, story telling, editing and design.
